Indigo yarns are produced by the indigo rope dyeing process of cotton and organic yarns. Indigo dye is obtained from the Indigofera tinctoria plant. The raw yarn is turned into rope, dipped into the dyeing tank and removed. This process ensures that the blue pigment that forms the color of the yarn oxidizes in the air and turns blue. These yarns are preferred in Denim products and vintage clothing.
